Corinne Taylor Natural Organic Soap Review

Organic Vegan Soap from UK maker Corinne Taylor

When browsing on Instagram for UK based natural soapers, I discovered a lovely lady called Corinne. I had been looking for a natural soap that was gentle on the skin due to issues I’d been having. For some weird reason, my skin started to become more sensitive than usual and the smallest thing would cause a painful flare. I think it was partly down to medication. Anyway, I dropped Corinne a message to ask whether any of her soap was suitable for sensitive skin. She replied, suggested trying her sensitive soap. Before I could make a purchase, she kindly offered to send me a bar free of charge which I thought was really sweet.

Corinne is a qualified aromatherapist and has extensive knowledge due to working in her practice for many years. All of her products are made from scratch and are never tested on animals.

Corinne Taylor Organic Sensitive & Moisturise Soap Review

Balancing Bath Salts And Natural Soaps By Corinne Taylor Holistic Therapy

After receiving the ‘Sensitive’ soap, I then purchased the ‘Moisturise’ soap as I have a soap for pink clay. Both soaps arrived wrapped in a plastic film which, although I dislike plastic, is needed due to the soaps being glycerine based as they’re hygroscopic and draw moisture to themselves.

Sensitive Soap – this soap has shea butter and avocado oil, meaning it’s extra gentle and very soothing. It’s 100g in weight and a semi-opaque cream colour. The Sensitive soap doesn’t have a scent which makes sense since it’s for sensitive skin. I find that this soap is very mild on my skin, and I enjoy using it on my skin where I’ve removed a Fentanyl patch. It removes the adhesive residue but without irritating an area that is pretty sensitive.

Moisturise Soap – this soap has shea butter, french pink clay, and lavender. It has a gentle lavender scent and is a reddish pink colour. French pink clay is known to have many benefits for the skin including improving elasticity. It’s a great soap for dry, sensitive and mature skin due to being gentle. I find that this soap gives my face a nice, mild clean whilst also offering gentle exfoliation.

Neither soaps lather up or bubble that much, which I suspect is due to the ingredients used to make them mild. For example, 100% olive oil soap aka Castile is super mild, and also doesn’t lather or bubble very much at all. It is often touted as a fantastic soap for babies and sensitive skin.

Both of my soaps from Corinne Taylor are very mild whilst giving a gentle cleanse. They both contain amazing natural ingredients such as Shea Butter and Avocado Oil which are known for being fantastic moisturisers. They do not dry my skin out at all. Some other soaps leave my skin feeling a little tight after use, but that hasn’t happened at all with the Sensitive and Moisturise soap. I really enjoy using both for face and body, but I think that the Moisturise bar is my absolute favourite.

Corinne Taylor Organic Balance Bath Salts Review

Packed in my parcel, along with the sensitive soap, was a sachet of bath salts that Corinne also very kindly sent. I am a HUGE lover of bath salts, so naturally, I was excited to use them.

The sachet contains a single use of the bath salts. It’s pretty simple to use; just pour into the bath under running water. The Balance bath salts have a wonderful scent to them. They’re perfect for those few days before my period is due, or during my period to help ease cramps. These bath salts contain Clary Sage is known to help with cramping, so I think that they are perfect for use during your period.

Corinne uses fine ground Pink Himalayan Salt so that it doesn’t leave any gritty bits at the bottom of the bath. There’s nothing worse than laying back and feeling lumps of salt underneath your body. So I really appreciate that everything dissolves completely.

Along with the usual things you would expect to find in bath salts, Coconut Oil is used. Coconut Oil is a fantastic natural moisturiser, so including it in the salts is lovely. When I get out of the tub, I can feel a very light layer of the coconut oil on my skin, sealing in moisture. I really enjoy having a bath in these bath salts, especially after a stressful day.

Final Thoughts

I am a big fan of the soaps and bath salts from Corinne Taylor. Corinne’s expert knowledge as a qualified aromatherapist shows through in her products, especially in the bath salts. The products that she creates are all vegan and eco-friendly.

Each of the different bath salts that she creates has a unique blend of essential oils for different purposes. I feel utterly relaxed and balanced after a bath in the bath salts. Plus, I love that the Balance blend helps to ease my cramps. If you are looking for luxurious bath salts that dissolve fully with no grit and help you relax, then you will love the bath salts by Corinne Taylor.

The soaps are beautiful and mild. Perfect for even the most sensitive of skins. I really enjoyed using them, but I feel that if you’re someone who enjoys a bar that lathers and bubbles a lot, then perhaps these aren’t for you.

I do have other products by Corinne Taylor that I purchased, which I will write about soon. All in all, I am super happy with the products and the customer service I have received. Corinne is kind, patient and super knowledgeable.

Both these soaps sound great and it definitely sounds like Corinne knows her stuff which is always a big plus! How do you store these soaps in between uses as I always find my “bar” style soaps can go a bit gloopy if left out? xx

I let mine drain on a soap dish, so they dry out between uses.
