Brave Botanicals By Faith In Nature Review

Faith In Nature Brave Botanicals Haircare Review

Faith In Nature is a brand I’ve used on and off for a few years, but ditched when I started purging plastic and switched over to shampoo bars. It never occurred to me that my son and partner may not get on with shampoo bars, which sadly was the case. As I’ve mentioned SO many times before, do what you can when it comes to being green or zero waste. I try to reduce as much plastic as possible in my life. But, if the plastic free alternative isn’t working for myself or my family, then I’m not about to continue using something that isn’t working

Big Green Smile were kind enough to send me a bottle of shampoo and conditioner from the Brave Botanicals range by Faith In Nature.

About Brave Botanicals – Body & Bounce

The Body & Bounce shampoo and conditioner contain Lavender and Jasmine oils, along with Absyssinian and Meadowfoam oils which make the shampoo very mild for a gentle cleanse. It is made from 99% naturally derived ingredients and is certified as being vegan and cruelty free. The shampoo and conditioner from this range are mentioned as being suitable for frequent use.

Body & Bounce by Faith in Nature is ideal for curly or hair needing volume

Using The Brave Botanicals Shampoo & Conditioner

My son has thick hair but, the shampoo bars just left his hair limp and without an shine. My partner was also complaining of spots on his scalp. So, I was hoping the Brave Botanicals would rectify this issue.

The smell is really pleasant and the shampoo lathers up nicely. The conditioner is so silky and smells quite nice, too. Both rinse out of the hair easily and left the hair easy to comb through and looking glossy. The bottles are easy to squeeze to get product out.

Since using the Brave Botanicals shampoo and conditioner, my sons hair looks really lovely. It’s soft, shiny, easy to brush and full of body again. My partner has short hair so hasn’t noticed any difference in how his hair looks or feels, but he no longer gets spots on his scalp.

Final Thoughts

I’m pleasantly surprised by this new range from Faith In Nature. I cannot fault it. The claims of giving hair body and bounce were true (Atleast for us). The shampoo and conditioner is a little on the expensive side but you don’t need a lot. Not to mention their standard range is cheaper and is pretty wonderful, too.

Big Green Smile stock the Brave Botanicals haircare* and they have a 25% off Faith In Nature sale* right now (Selected items).

Luckily we have plastics recycle stations. I love them and recycle all my plastics. I do so with all my shampoo and conditioner bottles when they’re finished. It’s still rare to find places that do refills, which is a shame. Faith in nature is one of my favourites and they were around already 15 years ago, when I first got into more natural cosmetics. I have the same experience of shampoobars. I’ve not found one to work on my slightly wavy hair. Best one contained jojoba oil.

I really like Faith in Nature products, and have found them to be really kind to hair. I’ve read reviews on them before and some people don’t like that they didn’t foam up as much as other shampoos, but from I remember they are SLS free, and that can only be a good thing.

I love that it smells of lavender and jasmine as these are two of my favourite scents. I’m glad it helped your sons hair and that it is full of life again. I suffer with very flat hair so this might work for me as well!

These sounds very nice, good to get a natural product that washes out well but leaves your hair with bounce. Mich x

Not tried them,… they look great. The only problem is if they’re expensive, my daughter needs a lot of conditioner to brush through her hair (even more if it’s a nit check night) but then you did say you don’t need a lot…. I shall keep them in mind lol thanks x x

I’ve never heard of Brave Botanicals before, but I really want to try their products out now.

This sounds really good. I use Big by lush at the moment and I’m enjoying it but it’s always nice to have options.

I totally agree with you, in that making small changes when it comes to plastic is better and more sustainable than changing everything and not enjoying your life.

I love Faith in Nature products, they are so nice and friendly on you and the planet. I have not seen these ones though so I am guessing these are new to their line?
