Green People Natural & Organic Deodorant Review

Green People Deodorant Review

Green People are an organic skincare brand that started trading in 1997. I’ve known about them for a long time, but up until recently, hadn’t actually tried any of their products. Of course, being slightly obsessed with reviewing natural deodorants, the first products by Green People that I tried were their natural deodorants.

The lovely folks at Green People sent the Quinoa and Prebiotics Deodorant for me to try, and the Stay Fresh 8 Men’s Deodorant for my partner.

Quinoa & Prebiotics Deodorant Review

This deodorant is vegan, gluten free and 89% organic. It is free from aluminium chlorohydrate and doesn’t block the pores and the prebiotics support healthy bacteria whilst restricting odour causing bacteria. The key plant ingredients are: aloe vera, quinoa, rosemary, and lemongrass.

It is described as a gentle but effective, and non irritating. This deodorant has a very mild, pleasant scent and the formula feels creamy and moisturising. Applying the deodorant was very easy as it has a roller ball applicator. The product dried took a few moments to dry down but once it had, it wasn’t sticky at all.

I’ve used the quinoa and prebiotics deodorant* for a little while now. It’s been tested on days where I’ve lounged about and days where I’ve been a little more busy, including a picnic in temperatures over 30c. Not once has this deodorant let me down. For the most part, it actually kept me really dry, despite it not being an antiperspirant.

Stay Fresh Deodorant 8 For Men

The Stay Fresh Deodorant 8 For Men* is gluten free, vegan and 85% organic. Like the deodorant that I tried, it doesn’t clog pores and doesn’t contain aluminium chlorohydrate. It is long lasting, tough on odour and has a strong anti-bacterial action to ensure that body odour doesn’t occur. Key plant ingredients are: rosemary, thyme, and citrus.

This deodorant has a herbal scent to it which is quite subtle, which my partner liked. I also liked it, as I find his usual deodorant has a really overpowering scent which gives me a headache. He’s not a fan of paste or non-aerosol spray deodorants, so he was really happy that this had a roller ball applicator. Like my deodorant, his dried down quickly and wasn’t sticky.

My partner is a gardener by trade and does a lot of manual labour. He gets very hot, especially right now as it’s summertime. Without being too TMI, sometimes when he comes home, he does smell when using his regular deodorant. But with the Green People deodorant, he has not ponged once.

Green People deodorants are organic, natural and great for sensitive skin

Final Thoughts

I really rate the Green People natural deodorants. They’re great on sensitive skin whilst actually working to prevent odour. Both deodorants performed extremely well and kept us both smelling and feeling fresh throughout the day.

I love that these deodorants are vegan and suitable for people that are intolerant to gluten.

If you’re someone looking for a natural deodorant but you don’t want to use the paste type, then Green People deodorants would be a fantastic choice. For more information and to purchase, please use discount code FLUFFY for 15% off at the Green People website*.

Is it a roll on, is it a solid kind of rock? (I have one like that and I love it). It’d be good if we could see pictures of what it looks like inside.

Thanks for the post, I have loads more to read from you 🙂

These look great – my daughter has sensitive skin and struggles to find good deodorant. I will look out for it.

I would love to smell the one you use, it sounds intriguing.

These sound a lot better than some similar deodorants I have used which didn’t make me feel fresh at all x

This might be a stupid question but are there any green / eco antiperspirants? I know its not ideal to stop your sweat but I hate the feeling of damp armpits especially when I’m at work. Eco Deos are great for holidays and weekends for me but not for the office. Any thoughts please?

These sounds great and I love the sound of the quinoa one. I also love your header! It looks fab!

Ooooh these look great. Although I like my paste deo, a roll on is so much more convenient to use. Will definitely have to look at this brand in future x

That’s not a selection of ingredients I’d expect in a deodorant. I think I might have to give it a try x

These look fab. I tried a natural organic deodorant too and would not go back to my old brand now

Sure, I would. I like the fact that they are almost 100% organic. Also the price seems ok as it is 75ml.
