Mallow + White is a UK based natural skincare brand. It’s run by a wonderful lady called Joanna, who I happen to think is pretty darn amazing. Joanna has sensitive skin and so, decided to create natural, simple but effective skincare that was suitable for her skin. This is how Mallow + White was born.
A few months ago I was looking for a new facial oil to try and stumbled across Mallow + White whilst on Instagram. I loved the idea of a simple product with few ingredients, and so I purchased a couple of items to try.
Mallow & White Facial Oil
My skin needs sometimes seem to cross over from one product to another. So I purchased the Restore facial oil for normal/dry skin and the Revitalise for mature skin. I’m 30 years old and have noticed the fine lines appearing under my eyes, along with a couple of deeper ones on my forehead. So naturally, I wanted something for that, but also something that works on my dry skin.
Restore Facial Oil – my skin sometimes gets a little dry on the cheeks, but remains normal or a tiny bit oily (Depending where I am in my cycle!) on my nose and forehead.
This oil contains 5 ingredients: Rosehip Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Rose Geranium Essential Oil. The Restore oil is rich in vitamins A, B1, B6, B17, C and E. It also contains Omegas 3 and 6 and anti-oxidants.
Rose Geranium Essential Oil is one that I love using on my face. It’s fantastic for any breakouts and rebalancing the skin. Jojoba Oil is an oil that retains moisture, helping any dry patches. It also softens and protects the skin whilst the Apricot Kernel Oil helps to nourish.
I really love this oil feels on my skin and find it perfect for use under makeup. It sinks into my skin leaving it moisturised and non greasy. Unlike oils that I tried a couple of years ago, it has not made my skin more oily. Quite the opposite in fact. The Rose Geranium Essential Oil is fantastic on any hormonal blemishes that sometimes appear and my dry patches have disappeared when using this face oil.
Revitalise Facial Oil – due to the fact I am getting older, some fine lines have appeared and I noticed my skin needs more moisture. My skin is also more prone to lacking a natural glow.
This oil contains 6 ingredients: Camellia Seed Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Mandarin Essential Oil, Frankincense Essential Oil. The Revitalise facial oil is packed with Omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9. Along with anti-oxidants and vitamin C.
I’ve raved about Frankincense before as it’s a favourite essential oil of mine due to how incredible it is on the skin. It is able to aid skin cell regeneration and help smooth fine lines. Plus it can give the skin a glowy look due to increased circulation. It also smells amazing. Rosehip Seed Oil also helps with skin cell regeneration and repairing damaged tissues. Add in Macadamia Nut Oil for the rare Omega 7 which helps delay cellular aging and aid skin recovery. This oil is truly a powerhouse blend.
I use the Revitalise oil at night which works really well for me. It’s very easy to apply and my skin just soaks it up like a sponge. Like the Restore oil, this does not leave my skin greasy nor does it make it more oily. The Frankincense Essential Oil definitely helps as when I wake up I notice that my skin looks radiant and feels very soft.
Mallow + White Face Masks
I am a huge fan of face masks and part of my weekend ritual is relaxing with a face mask. I am always looking for one that’ll help remove impurities and leave my skin looking great.
Restore Face Mask – made with just 5 ingredients which are: Dead Sea Mud, Moroccan Lava Clay, Organic Green Tea Leaf Powder, Organic Cornstarch and Organic Geranium Essential Oil. It can be used as a face mask or a gentle exfoliator. The ingredients in this mask are ideal for cleansing whilst nourishing the skin and gently detoxifying.
Mixing the mask is pretty straight forward. I add 2tsp to a bowl, which covers my face without any leftover product. Then I slowly add in either warm water or the leftover warm water from a floral face steam. It’s one of those things where it’s always best to add a little at a time, in case you add too much liquid. Once mixed, I apply with a brush all over my damp face, avoiding my eye area.
I love how this mask removes impurities from my skin but doesn’t dry it out. I’ve started adding 1 drop of my facial oil in which it, which is suggested on the website. This simple addition of the oil just helps nourish the skin further and adds in some moisture, too.
Revitalise Face Mask – this mask is made with only 6 ingredients which are: Frech Pink Clay, French Red Clay, Moroccan Lava Clay, Organic Cornstarch, Organic Hibiscus Flower Powder, Organic Palmarosa Essential Oil. Like the Restore face mask, it can be used as a face mask or gentle exfoliator. The ingredients are great for helping to soften the skin and even out skin tone.
As above, I only need 2tsp of the Revitalise mask mixed with water to cover my face. I really enjoy using this one with leftover water from a floral steam, mixed with 2 drops of my Revitalise oil. It makes my skin feel super soft afterwards and looking really radiant.
What can I say? The skincare products by Mallow + White are fantastic and I absolutely love them. The ingredients are simple yet effective, and make my skin look and feel wonderful. I have absolutely zero complaints and would recommend this brand to anyone wanting to try out a natural skincare brand.
You’ll be hard pressed to find such amazing products and customer service.
