Oway Natural & Biodynamic Hair Care Review

Oway (short for Organic Way) is a professional haircare brand made with organic and biodynamic ingredients. They make haircare for various different needs, and I’ve totally fallen in love with the brand.

Most haircare comes in plastic bottles, so I was super excited to find that Oway use glass bottles which are forever recyclable. Due to my chronic health issues, my hair started lacking life. It became super dull, dry and my scalp started drying out, too.

Oway Haircare

Oway haircare is organic and made with biodynamic ingredients. All of the haircare is free from:

  • SLS and SLES
  • Parabens
  • Petrolatum
  • PEG, PPG and BG
  • EDTA
  • Synthetic Fragrance
  • Artificial Colorants
  • Mineral Oils

I purchased a shampoo and conditioner to try out:

Silk ‘N Glow Hair Bath – described as a shampoo for dry, frizzy and porous hair. It contains things like Biodynamic Oat, Organic Cupuaçu and ethically produced Brazil Nut which all help to restore the hairs natural moisture and reduce the frizzy/frazzled look of hair.

This hair bath smells amazing and I need only two pumps for my hair which is shoulder length. It has a gentle foam which doesn’t irritate my scalp or cause further dryness.

Smoothing Conditioner – described as a conditioner for dry and frizzy hair. It contains things like Biodynamic Caraway, Organic Rose, and ethically produced Buriti. These help improve micro circulation, prevent dehydration and smooth the hair.

My length of hair at shoulder length really only requires 2 pumps through the mid-lengths and ends. This conditioner is divine and makes my hair easy to detangle.

Using Oway Haircare

When it came to using the shampoo, I did have to get used to the fact it doesn’t have a super high foam like many other shampoos. This is because it’s free from SLS and SLES. It does still give a nice lather and cleans just as well. I guess that a life time of believing that loads of bubbles/high foam = clean, is hard to get out of your mind. The smell of both the shampoo and conditioner are lovely. No artificial fragrances. Just a nice gentle scent from the natural ingredients used.

The shampoo and conditioner rinse out easily and leave my hair feeling clean and tangle free.

Before using Oway my hair was a state. It was very frizzy through the mid lengths and ends. It was also very dull, dry, broke easily and I had a dry scalp. I’ve used Oway for the past 8 months and my hair has never looked or felt so good. It’s very shiny, soft and no longer dry. My scalp feels so much better too and isn’t dry or flakey anymore. People have complimented my hair a lot on social media and in real life, so that says a lot.

Final Thoughts

I absolutely LOVE Oway and I am so glad that I found them. I used to be really upset and down about the state of my hair . Using Oway has made a huge difference.

Oway is committed to fair trade and I love that they use organic and biodynamic ingredients, along with using glass bottles which is great to cut back on plastic waste.

If you’re looking for an organic, natural haircare brand then I highly recommend Oway Haircare.

Personally, I prefer not to try new brands and rather stick to the one I’ve been using since years. That’s because I did buy a different shampoo brand once and my hair didn’t quite like it. This one looks good, would rather prefer sampling it before buying the full sized bottle.

Love it when you discover a product range that works AND is super natural. Sounds like 8 months use has been great for your hair and the environment too!

Love that it’s made from organic products. It’s really hard for me to find a good shampoo as I have a sensitive scalp. May try this out to see if it helps.

These products sound really interesting . There’s nothing nicer than finding a shampoo and conditioner that really makes your hair look and feel good. So many shampoo’s have ingredients that aren’t actually nourishing for our hair and yet people still buy them.

I’ve never heard of Oway before, but it sounds really great! I would definitely pick some of their products up to try on my own hair 🙂
