Weleda Natural Deodorants Review

A little while ago, a few readers asked me about my opinion on the deodorants available from Weleda. Being that I am a tad obsessed with reviewing natural deodorants, of course I got a couple to try out. It’s taken a good few months of testing but I think that it’s important to be as thorough as possible with things like this. After all, who wants stinky pits?!

Weleda Natural Spray Deodorant

Weleda Deodorant Review

I was sent three deodorants by Weleda to try: The spray version in citrus and wild rose, plus their roll on in citrus.

Weleda Citrus & Wild Rose Spray Deodorant – both smell really nice and fresh. Out of the two I prefer the wild rose but I think the citrus is a great unisex scent. Application is super easy with a simple spray nozzle and the deodorant dries down fast.

Weleda Citrus Roll On Deodorant – the citrus scent is pretty similar to the spray version and applies like any other roll on. It takes a while to dry down but it’s not overly thick like some are which I like.

Much like Weleda’s other products, these deodorants are NATRUE certified. They’re also free from aluminium salts and work with your body, instead of against it.

Performance

Both types performed really well. I didn’t once suffer from any body odour and was left feeling fresh all day. The roll on kept me fresh and relatively dry during one of my many unplanned trips to hospital, so that was nice. There’s nothing worse than getting all clammy and smelly waiting around in hospital for hours.

Whilst both deodorants have held up well for me, I feel the roll on is just a tad better for when you’re very hot and sweaty. But that’s just my experience. The glass bottle on the spray deodorants is a little heavy, so something to consider if travelling.

None of the Weleda deodorants have left any marks on my clothing or irritated my skin. That’s a massive win!

Weleda 24hr roll on deodorant is great for people wanting an effective but natural deodorant

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed these deodorants from Weleda. I especially love the sprays but I don’t think they’d be great for someone who is very physical in their work and/or hobbies. For someone like me they are perfect. The roll on would be a better option for someone with an active lifestyle and I was really impressed with how it performed.

All of the Weleda deodorants were gentle on my skin and I can see me repurchasing the spray version in the future.

Overall, I really rate them. Definitely a great alternative to the cream deodorants if they’re not your thing.

You can purchase these yourself through retailers such as Big Green Smile* and of course, Weleda themselves.

Ahh fab review, I always keep a travel sized Weleda citrus deodorant in my bag. Love the smell and it works really well. Tempted to try the rose version now!
