It’s finally approaching summertime and this month Weleda have launched their #CleanerBeauty campaign. I’ve also become an ambassador which, shouldn’t be a surprise since you all know I love Weleda. I even got to attend a special PR event last year to their UK headquarters. To say that I really love and stand behind the brand is somewhat of an understatement.
Anyway, I digress. Let’s talk about their campaign. The #CleanerBeauty campaign is to raise awareness of exactly that, Cleaner Beauty. Beauty without all the toxic crap that tends to go in so many products that we use daily. From toothpaste, body wash and haircare, right through to deodorant and makeup – you often don’t think about exactly what you’re putting on your body everyday. Before switching to clean and green skincare, I didn’t think twice either. But since I have been using clean beauty and skincare products for a long time, I wanted to take a moment to explain what #CleanerBeauty means to me and share a few of my favourite Weleda products.
#CleanerBeauty – What Does It Mean To Me?
To me, #CleanerBeauty means products that are clean – natural, free from parabens, SLS/SLES, artificial fragrances, natural, sustainable and ethically sourced. Also, where possible, for the products to be organic and in sustainable/reusable packaging. Not all products tick every single box, but the more the better.
#CleanerBeauty also means that the products are good for our bodies. Looking after them with skin/hair/body loving ingredients.
Some Of My Favourite Weleda Products
Weleda Skin Food – How could I talk about my favourite Weleda products without mentioning Skin Food? This simple product has become a long term staple that has many uses. I can’t talk about it without repeating everything I’ve said before so please hop over to my review and read up on what I think .
Weleda Beauty Balm – I haven’t written up my review on this yet but let me tell you, I am a huge fan. As I mentioned in my review of Weleda Skin Food, this balm needs you to have moisturized very well before hand. That’s because it’s very mattifying. But, it feels weightless on this skin and leaves you with a ‘your skin but better’ look. This is my go to when I feel like I’m looking too deathly for my liking and want to look like an actual alive person. Or for pairing up when I put makeup on. It works well for everything, really.
Weleda Deodorants – Switching to a natural deodorant was one of the first things I did. Back then I didn’t realise that Weleda made deodorants but upon discovering them, they became a firm favourite amongst a few brands. It’s really good to know that you can still get the same level of protection but minus all the nasties. The roll-on deodorant works extremely well and is great for people who are active or on the go. You can check my review out if you want to learn a little more on the deodorants that Weleda has available.
Have you tried any Weleda products and will you make a pledge to try switching to a #CleanerBeauty product?
